SA / Indian Singer Drops New Single: DIL DENA
DIL DENA, a heartthrob Punjabi Pop track sung by Darren Reddy, has been officially released worldwide by LA PRESTIGE Publishing/Record Label. The single went live on 9th April 2024 and has already begun receiving tremendous response from fans, producers, and film directors alike. Marketed as a “catchy love anthem,” DIL DENA is steadily gaining popularity across audiences.

The project was initiated by the 33-year-old singer in 2023, in collaboration with LA PRESTIGE, alongside several other musical ventures. “DIL DENA was born through international collaboration. From lyricists and producers to artist management, legal, PR, investors, musicians, and the marketing/distribution team—everyone contributed to crafting a beautiful piece of art. The label made me feel confident performing this track in my own voice for the first time,” Darren Reddy explained.
The single portrays the story of a man captivated by his vision of an ideal woman, expressing his love and infatuation through heartfelt lyrics.
Born in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Darren Reddy’s lineage traces back to India through Telugu and Hindi-speaking ancestry. Beginning his musical journey at just three years old, his voice is often described as soft, soulful, and textured with a wide vocal range, versatile across multiple genres. Known primarily for performing live romantic and devotional songs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, Darren has recently attracted attention from leading international record labels.
“I’ve been blessed with some incredible opportunities this year through my dedicated team. Several new songs are already finalized for release in 2024,” he shared. Reports also confirm that major global distributors have partnered with LA PRESTIGE, expanding its reach into international music markets and Indian diaspora communities abroad.
Besides singing, Darren Reddy is also an accomplished eastern percussionist, well-known across KwaZulu-Natal. He expresses deep gratitude to his parents, teachers, and loyal audience. “Music is a divine gift. It should be respected and nurtured so its spiritual essence can be passed on for generations. Our culture and identity live through music, and it is God’s own art,” he says.
Reddy draws inspiration from icons like Dr Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Mohd. Rafi, Dr SP Balasubrahmanyam, Dr TMS, Dr KJ Yesudas, and Kaushiki Chakraborty. He also reveres legendary classical maestros such as Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Allah Rakha, Ojas Adhiya, Pandit Ravi Shankar, and Grammy-winner Anoushka Shankar. His deep admiration for instrumental classical music has shaped his artistic journey.
