Vertical AI solution for business intelligence gains momentum with key participation from the Indian startup ecosystem
June 30, 2025 — Othor AI, the fast-emerging vertical AI startup founded by entrepreneur Unni Koroth, announced today that it has successfully closed a follow-up pre-seed funding round of $50,000. This latest investment brings the company’s total early-stage funding to $80,000, following its initial raise of $30,000 in February 2025.
The round saw strong backing from notable names in the Indian startup ecosystem, including Vara Kumar Namburu (Co-founder of Whatfix), Madan Galla (entrepreneur and data analytics pioneer with over two decades in enterprise data solutions), and Mithun Nair, a well-known angel investor from Kerala’s growing startup community.
Founded by Unni Koroth and Nekender Shekhawat in September 2024, Othor AI is gaining traction with its specialized Vertical AI Agents designed to support daily business decisions and planning. Since the launch of its beta in January 2025, the company has made rapid progress, signing agreements with multiple design partners to validate and demonstrate its value proposition.

Unni Koroth previously founded Foradian, widely regarded as a success story in the Indian startup scene. After exiting Foradian in 2019, he spent three years at Whatfix before launching Othor AI. The company is registered under the Kerala Startup Mission, and Koroth is aiming to replicate and scale his earlier entrepreneurial success.
